General Production Technician
Entry-Level Manufacturing | Full-Time
Essential Responsibilities
- Follow work instructions, manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and verbal direction.
- Operate production equipment and hand tools safely after receiving training and authorization.
- Support composite manufacturing activities, including handling carbon fiber, fiberglass, epoxy systems, and related materials.
- Assist with material preparation, machine setup, loading and unloading parts, curing, assembly, finishing, labeling, and packaging.
- Perform sanding, surface preparation, gel filling, cosmetic repair, painting, clear coating, and product identification as assigned.
- Inspect parts for visible defects and use basic measuring tools, such as calipers and gauges, after training.
- Record required production and quality information accurately in paper and computer-based systems.
- Support product testing activities, including high-pressure or destructive testing, after appropriate training.
- Move materials between work areas and assist with forklifts, gantry cranes, and other lifting devices when trained and authorized.
- Clean and maintain production equipment, tools, work areas, and manufacturing facilities.
- Communicate safety, quality, equipment, or production concerns to a supervisor promptly.
- Participate in cross-training and perform other production duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- No previous manufacturing experience is required. On-the-job training will be provided.
- Reliable attendance, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and ask questions when clarification is needed.
- Attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently with appropriate supervision and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn company software and computer-controlled equipment.
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment and follow all safety rules.
- Ability to work at different Steelhead facilities in the Golden area when assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in hands-on manufacturing.
- Experience with hand tools, production equipment, or measuring instruments.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and email.

- Use close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Work is performed in an active manufacturing environment. Employees may be exposed to machinery, production materials, dust, odors, moderate noise, and testing operations.
Required PPE must be worn. Employees may work in different production areas or facilities based on business needs.
Export Control Requirements
This position may involve access to information, systems, or hardware subject to U.S. export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The candidate must be a U.S. person as defined by applicable regulations, or otherwise eligible to obtain any required export authorization.
